HOW LONG SHOULD MY HAIR BE FOR WAXING?

For body waxing, I need ¼ inch of hair for good results. Visually, this is about the length of a grain of rice. For most people, this means 10-14 days of growth from shaving, and 4 weeks from waxing.
If your hair is longer than ½ inch I recommend trimming before your visit to avoid discomfort. Usually this is only necessary in the bikini or Brazilian area.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST WAXING APPOINTMENT?

I will start by having you fill out an intake form to make sure I am aware of anything that might affect the service, such as certain medications or health concerns. If you are receiving a brow wax, I will use my 3-point, 5-line method to meticulously shape the ideal arch that complements your features. You will not walk out with skinny, over-arched brows!
If you are receiving a body wax, you will undress so that I can easily access the area for hair removal. In effort to keep the process as private and efficient as possible, I won’t leave the room or have you change into disposable clothing. I will explain a little about our wax system and get right to work. My clients love me for my ability to make them comfortable, my skill, and my attention to detail. Following the service, I will educate you on how to care for your skin after your wax for optimal results.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I DO BEFORE OR AFTER MY WAX?

The better shape your skin is in before waxing, the better results you will experience. Keeping the skin well-exfoliated and moisturized will go a long way towards achieving a smooth wax.
Please don’t go tanning for at least 48 hours before your appointment. Doing so will make your skin more sensitive and prone to lifting. If you are using a topical retinoid, discontinue use for at least three days to avoid lifting. Avoid alcohol and caffeine which sensitize the skin. You can also take an ibuprofen to help with inflammation or use a topical numbing agent if you prefer. Ladies, I find that waxing the week after your cycle is the most comfortable. However, waxing while on your cycle is not a problem at all and is sometimes necessary due to scheduling challenges.  My Cancellation Policy applies even if your Moontime arrives.
Immediately after your wax, you will want to avoid tight clothing and keep the skin cool, clean and protected for about 48 hours or until your skin feels healed. As your skin becomes accustomed to waxing, you will find it recovers quickly and is much less inconvenient. You’ll enjoy smoother skin, softer, finer hair and save lots of time in the shower. It’s worth it!

DO YOU DO MALE BRAZILIANS?

At this time, I am not offering this service to men until I receive proper training. I am happy to give you a referral. All other services are equal-opportunity.
